Question 1

Which PolyAI alternative is best for automating web and chat support rather than voice calls?

Accepted Answer

For web and chat-focused support, AssistLoop is often the strongest fit because it centers on automated website support with built-in human handoff. Answer HQ and SiteSpeakAI can also work well when your main goal is to deflect tickets coming from your knowledge base or website widgets rather than phone calls.

Question 2

What is the best PolyAI alternative if I still need strong voice support?

Accepted Answer

Front AI and Monobot CX are typically the closest options if you want to keep voice in the mix. Front AI emphasizes automating voice, chat, and email from one AI platform, while Monobot CX focuses on running AI voice and chat agents across multiple channels. Both are aimed at contact-center-style deployments where phone support remains important.

Question 3

Is Kustomer better than PolyAI for customer support teams?

Accepted Answer

Kustomer can be better than PolyAI if you want AI tightly integrated with a full customer service CRM rather than a standalone conversational AI platform. It combines automation with case management, timelines, and agent workspaces. PolyAI, by contrast, is more narrowly focused on lifelike voice and conversational agents that can plug into existing back-end systems.

Question 4

Is Tidio a good PolyAI alternative for small businesses?

Accepted Answer

Tidio is often a strong choice for small and midsize businesses because it blends AI chatbots with live support in a single workspace and is typically easier to adopt than enterprise-focused platforms. It is well suited to teams that want to add AI to their website quickly while still letting human agents jump into conversations when needed.

Question 5

Which PolyAI alternatives are easiest to set up without developers?

Accepted Answer

Tools marketed as no-code or low-code, such as Tiledesk and Aicado AI, are generally easier to set up without heavy engineering involvement. Tiledesk highlights no-code AI chatbot building with live agent handoff, while Aicado AI focuses on embedding branded agents into websites and apps through configuration rather than custom code.

Question 6

Can these PolyAI alternatives handle the same core jobs, like answering FAQs and routing complex issues to humans?

Accepted Answer

Most alternatives on this page are designed to cover the same core use cases as PolyAI: answering common questions, capturing customer information, handling simple requests, and escalating complex issues. Platforms like AssistLoop, Tidio, Tiledesk, and Front AI all emphasize AI-driven support plus human handoff, though the depth of voice automation and analytics will vary between tools.

Question 7

What is the best PolyAI alternative if I want AI trained on my own docs and knowledge base?

Accepted Answer

Answer HQ and SiteSpeakAI are typically the best starting points if you want AI that learns directly from your existing content. Answer HQ focuses on automating support with answers from your own resources, while SiteSpeakAI lets you train a chat agent on your site or documentation so it can respond in line with your current knowledge base.

Question 8

How should I plan a migration from PolyAI to another customer support platform?

Accepted Answer

When moving off PolyAI, start by exporting conversation logs, intents, and any configuration data you can access, then audit which flows and FAQs are most valuable. In your new platform, recreate or import those high-impact journeys first, test escalation to human agents thoroughly, and run a staged rollout so you can compare performance metrics before fully switching traffic.

Question 9

Which PolyAI alternative works best if I need one workspace for both AI and human agents?

Accepted Answer

Tidio, AssistLoop, and Tiledesk are strong options when you want AI and humans in a unified workspace. Tidio combines AI chat with live support in one interface, AssistLoop emphasizes automated website help with clear human handoff, and Tiledesk offers no-code chatbots plus live agent routing so teams can manage all conversations from a single console.
