How user badges reward engagement, what the tiers mean, and where they appear.
Badges reward user engagement and add social proof to your profile and reviews. They're earned automatically based on your activity, or awarded by staff.
Most badges have three tiers that unlock at increasing thresholds:
| Tier | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Bronze | Getting started - you've shown meaningful engagement |
| Silver | Active contributor - you're a regular on the platform |
| Gold | Top-tier - you're among the most active users |
| Badge | Bronze | Silver | Gold |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tool Collector - Bookmarked tools | 10 | 25 | 50 |
| Power User - Marked tools as "I use this" | 5 | 20 | 50 |
| Badge | Bronze | Silver | Gold |
|---|---|---|---|
| Curator - Submitted tools to the platform | 3 | 10 | 25 |
| Reviewer - Wrote approved reviews | 3 | 10 | 25 |
| Fixer - Reported issues that were resolved | 3 | 10 | 25 |
| Badge | Criteria |

| Aidirector | Official platform staff member |
Can I lose a badge? Automatically awarded badges may be removed if your counts drop below the threshold (e.g., if you delete bookmarks). Manually awarded badges are never auto-revoked.
How often are badges updated? Badge eligibility is checked once per day.
Do badges affect tool ranking or search results? No. Badges are purely cosmetic and serve as social proof for your contributions.
