Startup Aina revealed a $399 smart ring with a small screen and joystick to quickly approve or reject actions suggested by AI assistants.
In short: Startup Aina announced the Aina Ring, a smart ring meant to help people quickly approve or reject actions suggested by AI agents.
Aina says it is building for a future where AI agents, meaning AI helpers that can do tasks for you, will regularly ask for permission to do things. Examples include ordering a ride, starting music, or sending a message.
To make those yes or no decisions faster, Aina announced the Aina Ring. The titanium ring has a small display and a joystick-like button so you can accept or reject a suggested action without pulling out your phone.
The company says the ring connects to Macs or iPhones. It can look at personal information like your location, calendar, and email to suggest “Aina Cues,” which are prompts based on what you usually do. For example, it might suggest ordering your usual Uber at your usual time, like a helpful assistant tapping you on the shoulder.
Aina says people can also set up their own cues using normal language. The ring includes voice features for talking to an assistant, note taking, and even phone calls using a tiny speaker.
Preorders are live now. The ring costs $399 for a limited time, and Aina says it will ship in January 2027 with a planned retail price of $499.
Many AI tools can already do things for you, but they often still need you to confirm actions. Aina is betting that a simple wearable could make that approval step quicker and less distracting, so you spend less time tapping on your phone.
