Bluesky says its experimental Attie app now helps people create simple websites and interactive posts that can reach Bluesky’s audience.
In short: Bluesky says its experimental Attie app can now help everyday users create websites, quizzes, games, polls, and other interactive experiences.
Bluesky announced the update at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026. The company said Attie, which started as a tool for making custom social feeds, is expanding into a broader creation tool.
The idea is to let people build things that normally require a software developer. Think of it like using a guided kit instead of woodworking tools, so you can still make something useful without years of training.
Bluesky CEO Toni Schneider described it as “social vibe coding” for a community. In simple terms, that means using AI to help you create a small site or interactive experience for a group of people, like your friends or followers.
Bluesky said these creations will live on AT Protocol, the underlying system that also powers Bluesky. AT Protocol is like a shared set of rules that different apps can use to recognize your identity and content, instead of everything being locked inside one app.
Attie creations connect to a user’s atproto identity, and Attie can suggest what to build based on a person’s public Bluesky profile. Bluesky also said users can use their own AI model or choose from “open-weight” models, which are AI models whose settings are shared publicly so others can run or adapt them.
Bluesky is trying to make it easier for regular people to create and share interactive content, and to give those creations a built-in audience through Bluesky’s network. The company says Bluesky has about 47 million registered users, although TechCrunch noted engagement has declined as some people returned to X. Bluesky also said support for private data, currently in alpha testing, is planned to roll out by the end of the year.
