Spotify is rolling out Taste Profile in the US, letting Premium users see and edit what Spotify thinks they like to improve music and podcast picks.
In short: Spotify is rolling out a new feature in the U.S. that lets Premium users see and edit the preferences Spotify uses to recommend music and audio.
Spotify says it has started rolling out “Taste Profile” to Premium subscribers in the U.S. The feature shows how Spotify thinks you like music, podcasts, and audiobooks, based on what you play.
Taste Profile also lets you ask for changes using normal, everyday writing, like “more upbeat music” or “less of this genre.” Think of it like being able to edit the notes a friend keeps about what you enjoy, before they make you another playlist.
Spotify first showed Taste Profile publicly in March 2026 at the SXSW conference. It was previously tested in beta in New Zealand, and it is still labeled beta now. Spotify did not say when it will expand beyond U.S. Premium users.
To find it on mobile, Spotify says you can tap your profile picture, scroll down, and choose Taste Profile. After you send a request under “Tell us more,” Spotify says it can take a few hours for your Home feed recommendations to update.
Spotify’s recommendations can be helpful, but they can also get stuck, especially if your habits change or if other people use your account. This tool gives listeners more control, so sleep sounds, kids’ songs, or a temporary music phase do not keep shaping what Spotify suggests next.
