Startup Arga raised $10 million to build realistic training copies of tools like Salesforce and Workday, so AI agents can practice safely before use.

Arga, a startup focused on “AI agents” (AI tools that can take actions for you, like filling out forms or sending emails), announced a $10 million seed funding round. The round was led by General Catalyst, with participation from Box Group, Emergence, Gradient, and SV Angel.
The company builds training environments for popular workplace tools like Salesforce, Workday, and email clients. Instead of giving an AI agent a small, limited test connection, Arga says it creates a “digital twin,” which is basically a realistic copy of the software (like a flight simulator for office apps). It includes things like user permissions and automatic connections to other systems.
Arga’s CEO and co-founder, Philip Li, described a common workplace problem. One person might create a new sales lead in Salesforce while another reaches out through Hubspot. The AI agent has to figure out whether those records refer to the same company, whether an email has already been sent, and who should get the next message.
Arga says this is hard to train for because business software is difficult to reset and repeat at large scale. The company’s approach is to recreate these systems in a controlled environment that can be reset and run many times.
Many companies want AI agents to help with routine work inside tools they already use. If those agents make mistakes, they can annoy customers, create duplicates, or send the wrong message. Training in a realistic “sandbox” (a safe practice area) could reduce those errors before the tools are used in real workplaces.
