Iceland startup Treble raised $18M to grow its platform that simulates how voices and devices sound in real situations, helping test voice AI and hardware.

Treble, a startup based in Iceland, announced a $18 million funding extension to its Series A round. The round was led by Paladin Capital Group, with participation from existing investors KOMPAS VC, Frumtak Ventures, EIC, and Omega ehf.
Treble was founded in 2020 by acoustic engineers Finnur Pind and Jesper Pedersen. TechCrunch reports the company previously raised $12 million in 2024, bringing its total funding to more than $40 million. Treble says it counts Amazon and Logitech as customers.
Treble’s product is a “voice simulation” platform. In simple terms, it is like a wind tunnel for sound, it lets companies test how speech and devices might perform in many different settings without always needing real recordings. Treble also makes synthetic data, which is computer-made examples used to train and test AI, for tasks like reducing background noise and improving speech recognition.
The company also works with hardware makers on virtual prototyping. For example, it can help a headphone or speaker company predict how a product might sound, or test whether a smart speaker can understand commands depending on where it is placed in a room. Treble has also been expanding into testing for wearables like smart glasses, plus “physical AI” areas such as robots, cars, and drones.
More products now rely on voice, from customer service bots to smart glasses and robots. Tools that can test these systems in realistic sound conditions can help companies catch problems earlier, and make devices that understand people better in noisy places like cars, streets, or restaurants.
