Signull Labs raised over $3.58M to build Skye, an iPhone app that uses home screen widgets to surface AI help without opening a chatbot.
In short: Signull Labs has raised more than $3.58 million for Skye, an iPhone app in private testing that aims to put AI help directly on the home screen.
Skye is an iPhone app that is still in private testing, but it has already attracted investor interest. Signull Labs, the New York based startup behind Skye, raised more than $3.58 million in a pre-seed round that closed in September 2025, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
Skye’s idea is to make the iPhone home screen act more like an assistant. Instead of opening an app or talking to a chatbot, Skye would use iOS widgets (small boxes on your home screen that show live updates) as the main way you interact with it.
According to the company’s founder, who posts as “signüll” on X and is listed in the filing as Nirav Savjani, Skye can do things like suggest email replies, help you prepare for meetings, send reminders, and flag suspicious bank charges. The app would pull in information through connections that the user approves, like linking to services or accounts.
Savjani also claims “tens of thousands” of people have joined the waitlist. He told TechCrunch the app plans to launch to waitlisted users soon, but did not share a date.
Many people use AI today by opening a separate app and asking questions. Skye is betting that people would rather have helpful prompts show up in the place they already look all day, which is the home screen, like sticky notes that update themselves.
