ScaleOps raised $130 million in Series C funding to expand its tool that automatically manages cloud resources, including GPUs, to reduce AI computing costs.
In short: ScaleOps raised $130 million to grow its software that automatically manages cloud computing resources, including GPUs, for AI workloads.
ScaleOps, an Israeli AI infrastructure company, announced a $130 million Series C funding round. The round values the company at over $800 million and brings its total funding to $210 million.
Insight Partners led the round. Lightspeed Venture Partners, NFX, Glilot Capital Partners, and Picture Capital also participated.
ScaleOps sells a platform that manages computing resources in real time. This includes CPUs (the main computer “brain”), memory (short-term working space), and GPUs (chips often used to train and run AI, like the engine that does the heavy lifting). The goal is to reduce waste and keep systems running smoothly without engineers constantly tweaking settings.
The company says it can cut cloud bills by up to 80% for some customers, and it also claims improved reliability and performance. It lists customers including Wiz, SentinelOne, Cato Networks, Outreach, Orca Security, and some Fortune 100 companies. ScaleOps also says its software can be installed in about two minutes, including in locked-down environments that are kept offline for security (sometimes called “air-gapped,” meaning no internet connection).
AI is expensive partly because the computing power behind it is scarce and costly, especially GPUs. Tools like ScaleOps are trying to make sure companies do not pay for idle or poorly used computing resources, which can help keep AI services cheaper and more available for everyone.
