Rox is a San Francisco based company with an office in Bangalore, India. It was founded in 2024 by Shriram Sridharan and a team that includes Ishan Mukherjee, a former co-founder of Pixie and former chief growth officer at New Relic, and Avanika Narayan, the company’s AI lead.
The company says it helps enterprise sales teams keep track of customers and deals without relying on a traditional CRM (customer relationship management software, which is basically a digital address book and logbook for sales). Rox connects to tools many companies already use, including Salesforce, Zendesk, ERPs (systems that track things like orders, invoices, and inventory), and data warehouses (large storage systems for company data). Its goal is to pull scattered customer information into one place so sales teams do not have to hunt across multiple systems.
Rox also uses multiple AI “agents” (think of them as small helpers assigned to specific tasks), including one set of agents per customer account. These agents can automate research, draft personalized outreach emails or LinkedIn messages, create pre-meeting briefs, summarize calls, and update records. Rox relies heavily on OpenAI’s models and also uses the /perplexity API to add public information about companies.
Many sales teams spend hours each week on admin work instead of talking to customers. Rox claims teams save more than 8 hours a week and see higher engagement, and it says it has grown to 25 enterprise customers in about seven months. If these tools work as advertised, they could shift sales work away from manual data entry and toward customer conversations.
