OpenClaw, a free open source AI agent tool, now has an Android and iOS app that can connect to the OpenClaw Gateway to run agents from your phone.
In short: OpenClaw is now available as an app on Android and iOS.
OpenClaw, a free and open source AI agent (a helper program that can follow steps to complete tasks), has launched mobile apps for both iPhone and Android phones.
The company shared the news in a post on X. The mobile apps can pair with something called the OpenClaw Gateway. OpenClaw describes the Gateway as a routing layer, which is like a switchboard that sends your request to the right AI agent and any tools it needs.
OpenClaw became widely talked about earlier this year. Part of that attention came from MoltBook, a social site that was said to be filled with AI agents. Researchers later said some activity was actually done by humans pretending to be agents.
For regular users, this update means OpenClaw agents can be run from a phone instead of being tied to a computer. That could make it easier to use agents for everyday tasks people already try, like writing code, planning meals, or organizing work. It also comes with a reminder that results can vary, and some users have reported that agents do not always behave as expected.
