Meta updates its AI chatbot with calendar briefings and planning tools

Another change is that Meta AI can handle some repeating tasks after you set them up once. Meta says it could keep providing calendar briefings without you asking again each day, generate weekly meal plans, or send updates when a product is back in stock.

Meta also says the assistant is better at pulling information from across the web and turning it into a report, presentation, or plan. You can adjust its direction while it is responding, similar to interrupting a helper mid-task to say, "Focus on this part instead." Meta says the update uses its Muse Spark 1.1 model (the system that powers the chatbot, like an engine under the hood).

Meta’s updated assistant is rolling out today in select markets in the Meta AI app and on the web. Meta says it will expand to more countries and other platforms, including WhatsApp, in the coming weeks.
