AI video startup Luma has launched Innovative Dreams with Wonder Project. Their first show, about Moses and starring Ben Kingsley, is set for Prime Video this spring.
In short: Luma has started a new production studio with Wonder Project to make shows using AI tools, beginning with a Moses series for Prime Video.
AI video startup Luma announced a new production company called Innovative Dreams. It is built in partnership with Wonder Project, a group that makes faith and values-focused films and TV for Amazon Prime Video.
The first project is a show called “The Old Stories: Moses.” It will star British actor Ben Kingsley and is expected to launch this spring on Prime Video.
Luma says the studio will use its “Luma Agents,” which are tools that help with creative work across text, images, video, and audio. The idea is that filmmakers can adjust things like sets, props, and lighting in real time, like moving items around on a virtual stage while you are still filming.
Wonder Project leaders say they will combine two existing filmmaking methods. One is performance capture (actors wear special suits so a computer can copy their movements onto a digital character). The other is virtual production (actors perform in front of large LED screens showing digital backgrounds, instead of a green screen).
This points to a growing shift where AI tool companies are not only selling software, but also helping make the actual shows. If these workflows work as promised, some scenes could be created with fewer physical sets and less post-production work, which may reduce costs and change how movies and TV are made.
