Circleback adds a free plan and lowers paid pricing to $14 a month

What happened

On the new free plan, users can transcribe an unlimited number of meetings. However, they can only look back at the last 30 days of past transcripts. Circleback said other features in the free plan include recording meetings, access to its mobile app and Apple Watch app, the ability to ask questions about a transcript using AI (like searching a long document by asking it in plain English), and integrations with Linear and Slack.

Circleback is also changing its paid pricing. New subscription plans start at $14 per month when paid annually. The company previously did not offer a free tier, and its plans started at $20.83 per month.

Circleback was founded in 2023 by Ali Haghani and Kevin Jacyna. It raised $2.5 million in 2024, and says it has been profitable since then. Haghani told TechCrunch the earlier, limited trial led to many people dropping off, which pushed the company toward a free plan.
